Nuri’s Scarf

green and grey woven scarf

Scarf woven by one of our dear customers, Nuri, from our Finn yarn!

Nuri’s scarf is woven with meaning from start to finish. Made from Sukey and Trixie's fleeces, it carries a little piece of the farm in every strand. Their wool, naturally soft and lofty, was spun into a blend of rich green and natural grey tones that feel earthy, timeless... thymeless, if you will.

The scarf is woven with a natural grey warp and a soft green weft, giving it beautiful depth and movement. The grey creates a calm, neutral base while the green adds a subtle richness that brings to mind pasture grasses, pine trees, and the quiet beauty of the countryside. Together, the colors create a scarf that feels rustic, grounded, and easy to wear with just about anything.

Her scarf has a soft warmth without feeling heavy, making it perfect for wrapping around your neck on chilly mornings or cool evenings. It is cozy, comfortable, and drapes beautifully.

Each scarf is thoughtfully woven with care and attention. You can see the weaver’s craftsmanship in the even texture, the way the colors gently blend together, and the soft drape of the finished piece. Every pass through the loom adds to the character of the scarf, making it feel special, personal, and deeply handmade.

What makes this scarf especially meaningful is that its story starts long before it reaches the loom. It begins out in the pasture with Sukey and Trixie, then moves through every step — shearing, skirting, washing, picking, carding, spinning, dyeing and weaving — until it becomes something warm, beautiful, and meant to be cherished.

It's more than just an accessory. It is a reflection of the sheep, the fiber, and the care that goes into making something by hand. We love seeing our customers craft with our fiber! Send us photos of your project!
